As the head of Data and AI in Queensland Customer and Digital Group, I am dedicated to harnessing the power of data and AI technologies to deliver a more effective and efficient public service, for the benefit of the citizens of Queensland.

I am passionate about building a genuinely positive and outcomes-based culture in the teams I lead, allowing people the safety to bring their ideas to life.

Responsible for leading the Queensland Government’s Data and AI policy, strategy and innovation function, as well as delivering core data analytics and AI platforms services to foster innovation and uplift government capability.

Leigh oversees digital, technology and education services for more than 13,000 staff. A leader in Generative AI adoption, Leigh’s initiatives have earned international recognition for innovation and impact. Her career spans teaching, executive leadership and roles as CEO, CIO, Executive Director and COO across education and industry. A published researcher and sought-after speaker on digital transformation, Leigh has served on national advisory groups and holds multiple postgraduate qualifications in Education, IT, Leadership, Management and Business, as well as study with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Nathan Pilgrim – Chief Information, Product & Strategy Officer, Gallagher Bassett

Stefan works at the interface between science and technology and policy and strategy. His work helps decision makers in government, industry and community organisations explore plausible futures and make wise choices.Over the past 15 years he’s led a body of strategic foresight research at CSIRO involving scenario planning, megatrends analysis, risk analysis and decision support. Stefan is widely published in the peer-reviewed international research literature and his book “Global Megatrends” is a CSIRO Publishing best seller. His research expertise is in the fields of geography, economics, decision theory, management science and strategic foresight. He has a doctorate from the University of Queensland and post graduate diploma in economics from the University of New England. He has been a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Foresight Community and the OECD’s Government Foresight Community for over ten years. He is a fellow of the Queensland Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Johnny Serrano – Chief Information Officer, CS Energy

Johnny Serrano joined CS Energy in July 2025 as CIO, shifting from senior ICT roles including Head of ICT and GM Cyber Security & IT at Thiess. He has a deep interest in digital transformation, customer centricity and inclusive talent development, underpinned by earlier experience as CIO/CDO of GroundProbe.

Luke Abercrombie – Chief Information Officer, Port of Brisbane

Luke Abercrombie, appointed CIO at Port of Brisbane in 2022, leads the Technology Business Unit and drives the organisation’s innovation agenda — improving safety, risk mitigation and commercial outcomes through technology. He holds a Bachelor of Information Technology from QUT and brings leadership experience from both Australian and UK industry operators. 

Ben Pattison – Chief Data & Analytics Officer, Flight Centre Group

Ben Pattison became CDAO at Flight Centre Travel Group in October 2024. He has extensive background in data engineering, analytics, AI and governance, with prior senior roles at companies such as Transurban, Medibank and NAB.

Stephen Bennett – Group Chief Information Security Officer, Domino’s Pizza Enterprises Ltd

Stephen Bennett serves as Global CISO at Domino’s and has been instrumental in evolving cybersecurity from technical discipline to business-enabler, emphasising both risk mitigation and strategic alignment.

Toni Peggrem – Chief Executive Officer, AI Consortium

Toni Peggrem is CEO of the Queensland AI Hub (operating under the AI Consortium) and has over 30 years’ experience in strategic planning and organisational reform. She leads initiatives to build the AI ecosystem in Queensland, including workforce development, industry partnerships and enabling accessible AI.

Tim Dougall – Chief Technology Officer (Global Leisure), Flight Centre Travel Group

Tim Dougall has been CTO, Global Leisure at Flight Centre Travel Group since January 2023. He brings extensive experience across digital transformation, product engineering and enterprise digital services, with previous senior roles at Youi, SBS, Fairfax Media and Credit Suisse.

Paul Murphy – Chief Information Officer, GHD

Paul Murphy, based in Brisbane, leads GHD’s global technology strategy as CIO and has over 20 years’ experience in technical and executive roles, including driving adoption of emerging technologies, digital engineering and major infrastructure delivery.

Anna Clive – Executive General Manager, Data, Digital & Innovation, RACQ

Anna Clive joined RACQ as General Manager, Data, Digital & Innovation in late 2024/early 2025, following her role as CIO at Aussie Broadband. Anna is known for driving advanced analytics, digital solutions and enhanced member engagement through technology at RACQ.

Alistair Sharman, Group Head of Digital, Mater Health Services

Alastair’s career spans over 25 years which has enabled him to deliver information management, technology and digital services in both the public and private sector. Holding executive leadership positions in Australia and overseas delivering complex organisational change and capital works programs. Commencing as an intelligence officer in the Australian Army including serving with the United Nations in East Timor.  Following his career in the Army, Alastair held positions for a range of consulting firms delivering specialist information technology advice for both the public and private sector. Alastair has worked in a range of healthcare roles including being appointed the first Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service.  As CIO and later as the Chief Digital Officer Alastair’s delivered on a broad transformation agenda as well as implemented contemporary information and digital services that supported the delivery of high quality and safe care. Passionate about providing digital services that are focused on improving patient experience and health outcomes for the communities we serve and delivering digital transformation that supports the integration of clinical, education and research ministries.

Moji Ghadimi, Head of AI & Quantum Algorithms, QCIF

Moji Ghadimi joined QCIF in April 2025 as Head of AI and Quantum Algorithms, bringing over 15 years of experience across academia, government, and industry. Before joining QCIF, he held senior data science roles, including at Queensland Treasury, where he led emissions, energy, and economic modelling to support Net Zero policies. He also directed AI and MLOps teams in industry, deploying cloud-based AI solutions for healthcare, and led multi-disciplinary, national and international projects at UQ and Griffith University on cutting-edge quantum computing initiatives and data-driven health projects that shaped global health policies.

Moji holds a PhD in Quantum Computing from Griffith University, where he developed methods to accelerate atom-based quantum computers in collaboration with Georgia Tech and Fraunhofer Institute, and a Master’s in Computational Physics.

He is passionate about making advanced AI and quantum technologies accessible to researchers tackling complex challenges in diverse fields including health, bioinformatics, and traffic. His current work spans federated machine learning, quantum optimisation, and large-scale AI initiatives.
